More than 100 boys and girls will participate in this year’s MultiCare Sports Summer Camp. Hosted annually by the MultiCare Sports Programme, the camp provides coaching in Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, and Netball for children from the capital city. The three week camp will be held from July 17, 2009 at the MultiCare sports complex, at the Breezy Castle Centre.
Along with coaching and participation in the sporting disciplines, participants will also be tutored in the MultiCare tenets of Discipline, Responsibility, Self Esteem, and Love and Respect For Self and Others, and on the promotion of positive inter-personal relationships.
The camp is one of four operated as part of the annual MultiCare Summer Programme which are linked to the MultiCare Core Programmes operated during the academic year. The objective of the programme is to provide a safe haven for young people during the long summer months, while engaging them in productive, wholesome, recreational activities, which reinforce positive values.
Established in 1993, the MultiCare Foundation reflects the commitment of its endowing partners Lime Caribbean, ICD Group Limited, and Caribbean Cement Company Limited to youth and community development, and to the building of a safe and peaceful nation.
